──[ Sailing ]────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
This is the month that I finally started the Sailing skill. It was very slow and
boring initially, which didn't help with my motivation. I mostly just levelled by
doing salvage rather than anything too active. My initial goal was to complete
Troubled Tortugans for the new island at level 45, which then expanded to
unlocking Point Roberts for the stall thieving there at level 50, then The Red
Reef to finish all Sailing quests at level 52, and finally the teleport focus at
level 55. I never put a cannon on my ship and had to do ship combat for one of the
quests, and chose to use a blowpipe for whatever reason. It was slightly annoying
positioning my boat so that I could reach them with so little range.
──[ Duplicate ]──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
I managed to get a duplicate Rocky from the same Hero that gave me the first one
not even 2 weeks earlier. Thieving has always been one of the skills that I dread
levelling the most, with how click intensive it nearly always ends up being. So I
guess my very specific good luck decided to kick in to motivate my grind.
──[ Diaries ]────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
I continued to aim for the remaining Elite Diaries. The skill requirements didn't
feel too far away, and I still had some motivation and momentum to push me
through. The active grinds like Blast Furnace weren't too bad, and unlocking the
Coal bag made it a lot smoother. And I continued to pick more AFK methods for the
skills that offered them. The Elites I managed to get done were Varrock first,
then Karamja, Ardougne, Fremennik, and finally Morytania. The Fishing grind for
Morytania's level 96 requirement took the longest. The most annoying part was the
God Wars Dungeon bosses. The other regions have requirements that I'm still quite
a distance from. I did a few Kalphite Queen KC for the head but got the Dragon
pickaxe instead.
──[ Potions ]────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
Potion storage from Mastering Mixology seemed like a worthwhile grind, and I had
been procrastinating the activity anyway. It's not terrible, but lag spikes
occasionally made me make the wrong potion. And I couldn't comfortably position my
camera to see all of the room. For how valuable Potion Storage is, it was well
worth the few hours it took. And as a main I don't have to return for anything
else if I don't want. I gained 100 free slots immediately after unlocking by
transferring all my existing potions.
──[ Abyssal ]────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
Guardians of the Rift was relevant to me again, because they announced the Abyssal
lantern will eventually work outside of Guardians of the Rift. I managed to get
the Abyssal protector pet before the lantern, somehow. I was starting to think I
might have a huge grind ahead of me to get enough Abyssal pearls to buy the
lantern, but it actually didn't take much longer to get the Abyssal lantern too.
Funnily enough, once I had all I could need, the minigame didn't seem as bad as it
used to.
──[ Flipping ]───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
Flipping was something I saw mild success with in the past, so I decided to pick
it up again. I figured that I only ever really use one slot in the Grand Exchange,
so why not make some passive income taking advantage of the buy limit by flipping
high traffic items with the other slots. There are quite a lot of tools and forms
of assistance now. Flipping Utilities has had some major updates and even shows a
price graph right in the interface.
──[ Aside ]──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
Tempoross was just from levelling Fishing, but I didn't stick with it and switched
to Barbarian fishing instead for something more AFK. I also tried Giant Mole for
the gem bag upgrade, then quit after going dry past the drop rate. And I finally
did my first master clue and got literal garbage from it: a shitty tree seed, some
Death runes, and some coins, worth about 90K.

By the end of the month I was starting to burn out. I felt like all the other
grinds left were more annoying or draining. Kalphite Queen especially is agonizing
without the Elite Diary shortcut. Crafting 99 felt still pretty far away and I
didn't want to completely burn myself out, so whenever I did grind it I limited
myself to an hour or two. I planned on taking more of a break or backseat and just
occasionally popping in to check my flipping slots, which somehow led me to
thinking retiring the timelapse part of this report was a good idea.
──[ Desync ]─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────//───
This month is missing a large section of screenshots and other trackable data
because of the reformat from the prior month. I set my RuneLite back up, but my
profile reset without me fully realizing it. By the 17th, the issue had been fully
resolved, but that gap spans more than half the month. There are still some
captures within that window, luckily including my initial Sailing levelling, but
unfortunately missing my duplicate Rocky.
